Every price on this site is a division. Above the line is what you pay, below the line is the amount of active substance you get for it. Here is how that division is made.
EU prices, always dated
We index shops that deliver within the EU. VAT included, shipping visible, always in euros, and every price carries the day it was checked. A price without a date is a claim you cannot verify.
Shipping counts
The price per unit includes shipping. “Cheapest creatine” stops being true the moment €5.95 of shipping lands on top of it below a €40 threshold. So you see two numbers: the bare price and the price including shipping, with the shop’s free-shipping threshold beside it.
Multibuy discounts count
Supplements are sold with multibuy discounts almost everywhere, and that shifts the price per unit substantially. Where a tier was applied, it says which one. Without that, the sum cannot be redone.
Only the amounts that matter
Two to four numbers per product, read off the stated nutrition table. Where the EU has fixed an amount in the claims register, that is the line we measure against. Never the marketing on the front. What is not on the label counts as zero.
What is not here
No health claims. Not because there is nothing to say, but because on a page carrying product links everything is prohibited that is not literally in the EU claims register. The sum does not need them either: price, weight and composition are facts.
No customer reviews and no quotes. Under the Dutch food authority’s handbook, a review placed next to a product is a claim by the site itself. That risk is not worth taking.
We earn commission
A link pays us the same whether a product ranks first or last. The order comes straight out of the numbers. If you buy through a link, the shop may pay us a commission. That does not change the division.
What is not there yet
Prices are entered by hand at the moment. While that is the case there is no ranking and no product is called “the cheapest”. That claim requires every price to have been measured at the same moment, and right now they were not. What is here is what was measured, with the date attached.
